For more than ten years, I have been supporting people as a Systemic Therapist. I am particularly interested in how the demands of work and family life can be balanced with our personal needs and well-being. My areas of focus include stress prevention for expectant and new parents, self-care, and supporting couples through challenging phases of life.<\/span><\/p>\n

Alongside my counseling work, I have spent many years in leadership development and career coaching for early-career researchers and academics. Whether in workshops, coaching sessions, or team development settings, I enjoy bringing people together, opening up new perspectives, and supporting meaningful growth and change.<\/span><\/p>\n

Living in the United States for three years also taught me how challenging\u2014and rewarding\u2014it can be to build a life in a different cultural environment, especially as a family. This experience has given me a special appreciation for the opportunities and challenges that come with international moves and cross-cultural transitions. I therefore enjoy working with international families, expats, and anyone navigating life between different cultures. Sessions are available in both English and German, either online or in the Karlsruhe area.<\/span><\/p>\n

In my work, I strive to create a welcoming and trusting space where all thoughts, questions, uncertainties, and ideas are welcome. My background in literature and many years of working as an editor for academic publications have taught me the value of listening closely\u2014to language, to the stories people tell, and to what often remains unspoken. As a certified Systemic Counselor, I meet you with empathy, openness, and genuine curiosity about your unique experiences and the challenges you may be facing.<\/span><\/p>\n

One of the principles that guides my life is: \u201cEmbrace life and love it as it is.\u201d This is often easier said than done, especially during difficult times. Yet I have found that accepting what is can be the first step toward healing, growth, and meaningful change.<\/span><\/p>\n

A special focus of my work is grief counseling. After experiencing a painful loss in my own family, I came to understand the many faces of grief\u2014not only through my professional work, but also through personal experience. Looking back, I remain deeply grateful for the support I received during that time: a compassionate professional who walked alongside me with steady guidance, expertise, and an open heart.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you are navigating a loss or moving through a difficult chapter in your life, I would be honored to accompany you for part of the journey.
